A shared passion transformed into a business

Sharing a mutual excitement for the real estate industry, we founded The Unified Empire with the goal to invest in our local community by purchasing and improving real properties. Both of us have worked to advance and develop our knowledge, skills, and experience in the field of real estate over the past several years. 

Nick brings years of experience within the real estate industry to The Unified Empire. He was originally introduced to real estate through his cousin when helping renovate two homes in their community. After taking these homes from neighborhood eyesores to showpieces, Nick’s interest in pursuing real estate as a career was sparked and he went on to obtain his real estate license, focusing on learning the principles of real investment and management. He then took a job as a restoration technician, learning how to stabilize properties that have been affected by water, fire, storm, and mold damage while also obtaining certificates in plumbing and electricity.

Kaushal obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA in Finance and Organizational Management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. After graduating, he started working as a leasing consultant for a real estate development firm in the city during which time he leased a 254 door apartment complex to 95% capacity in eight months, as well as pioneered various methods of obtaining feedback on apartments for better maintenance response time and efforts.

When the opportunity came to work alongside a lifelong friend and create a business that would not only advance our careers but provide value back to the communities we grew up in, we knew we had to take it. Together, our skill sets are both complementary and diverse, allowing us to work efficiently and cover any weaknesses the other may have and making The Unified Empire what it is today.
